We offer a three-tiered approach to our sport.
Tier 1 : Timetabled Sport/Outdoor Enjoyment Program
Every child from Grade 1-8 spends at least three hours a week during school hours involved in some form of sport and outdoor enjoyment. Sport skills are taught and general fitness is improved. All children are given exposure to several sporting codes and taught skills related thereto. Our pupils also participate in the outdoor enjoyment program which includes activities such as growing their own vegetable gardens, learning how to make bows and arrows, outdoor cooking and much more.
Tier 2 : Squad Sport
For those children who wish to pursue a particular sport, we offer coaching as part of the school's extra-mural program. Children who participate in these coaching sessions become eligible to represent the school in interschool matches. Sport is offered from Monday to Thursday between 14h00 and 15h00.
Tier 3 : Sporting Edge Academy
The Sporting Edge Academy operates under the auspices of Lanner House School and gives children the opportunity to be coached in small groups by private coaches in several sporting disciplines. Sports currently offered include hockey, golf, squash, archery, tennis, touch rugby and shooting.
Coaching at the Sporting Edge Academy is open to all children in the broader Worcester community.
